Objectives of the Ministry

The Ministry's objectives are to ensure that the plans and aspirations of the State Government in terms of provision and maintenance of infrastructures such as good road networks, electrification, public building and fire services are implemented satisfactorily in the best interest of the citizens of Ogun State.

  10. Flood and Erosion Control - The Ministry of Environment is meant to handle its analysis and evaluation, while the Ministry of Works will handle construction.

  11. Approval of Building Plan (Architectural, Structural and Fire Services)

  12. Maintenance of Public Buildings

  13. Maintenance of Government Residential Buildings

  14. Construction and Maintenance of Street Lights

  15. Maintenance of Refrigerator and Air-Conditioners

  16. Maintenance of Generating Sets

  17. Maintenance of Heavy Duty Plants

  18. Relations with NEPA and NITEL

  19. Supervision of Staff Housing Board

  20. Preparation of Tender Report on Building and Civil Engineering Projects

  21. Registration of Petty and Major Contractors
