Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has warned contractors handling Government road projects to stick to timelines for their delivery or risk termination of such contracts.

The Governor gave the warning yesterday at Sagamu while inspecting the level of work on the  9.5km International Standard  Highway from Isale Oko to Kara, being constructed by his administration. Amosun expressed displeasure at the level of progress made and told the firm handling the construction to double its efforts.

He said the concrete floors to hold the pillars of the overhead bridge should have been ready by now, warning that he would brook no unnecessary delay in executing the project.

"I know it will take at least 18 months to complete the entire project but I want to see steady and significant progress on this road, especially the flyover bridge," he said.

He expressed the hope that the first flyover bridge in Sagamu would be ready for unveiling during the second anniversary of the administration.

Amosun thanked residents who trooped out to welcome him and promised that his Government would continue to implement policies that would put smiles on their faces. The Governor also visited Ijebu-Ode and Ota roads to inspect the level of work done by the contractors.
"More than ever before, we should continue to join hands as we seek to bequeath an enduring legacy to Ogun State and generations yet unborn. "
