OGUN GOVT CALLS FOR ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF STAKEHOLDERS IN EDUCATIONAL DEVT

Ogun State Government has called for active participation of corporate organisations and individuals in the education sector, for the provision of more facilities for improved learning environment.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu said this during the commissioning of Nestle Community Water projects for Healthier Kids (N4HK), donated to Oke-Ona United School, Abeokuta and Saint Paul’s Anglican School, Obafemi Owode.

Prof. Arigbabu who noted that no government could single-handedly underwrite the cost of sound and qualitative education to its citizenry, applauded Nestle Nigeria PLC for its contribution to development of the sector, through its Social Corporate Responsibility.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager of the company, Mrs. Victoria Uwadoka, explained that clean water and toilet are presently crucial, due to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic, hence the organisation’s resolve to provide the facilities to safeguard pupils against contracting the virus.
