The Public Private Partnership initiative of Ogun State Government has begun to yield result, as the Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) under the leadership of Alhaji Akibu Titilayo has donated medical equipment to enhance health care delivery in the State.
The donated items include Manual Pedal Suction Machine, Fetal Monitor, Nebulizer, Opthalmoscope, Oxygen Concentrator, Digital Sphyg, Sterilizer, Wheelchair, N-95 face masks, ordinary face masks and Accosson among others.
Speaking while receiving the items, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, described them as some of the specific needs of the State Hospitals at Ota, Isara, Abeokuta, Ilaro, and Ijebu-Ode, assuring that the equipment would be judiciously used for the benefits of the residents.
She said the present administration is determined to continue to provide efficient and affordable healthcare to all, expressing government’s desire to engage with every player in the organised private sector through its Health Insurance Scheme.
Speaking earlier, RTEAN’s Secretary, Chief Tiwalade Akingbade, said the donation was borne out of the need to give back to the society.
