President Muhammad Buhari has disclosed that his administration is currently embarking on the infrastructural development of all it’s tertiary hospitals in a bid to position the hospitals for quality health care delivery to the people.
President Buhari who made this known in Abeokuta, during the commissioning of the Muhammadu Buhari International Conference and Tele-Medicine Hall at the Federal Medical Center, Idi-Aba, disclosed that the National Health Insurance Scheme is awaiting a law that would make the scheme compulsory for every Nigerian.
Buhari who also noted that his administration is passionate about health care delivery at the grassroot level, disclosed that his administration has redesigned the Primary Health Care Centers to now operate for 24 hours daily.
He also urged the people not to listen to the mis-information about the Covid19 vaccine, saying that the vaccine has been tested and affirmed to be good for the body.
The Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila in his address acknowledged the giant strides of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in the area of road construction and health care delivery saying that the Governor has shown lots of concern for the development of the state.
In his remarks, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who noted that telemedicine will provide additional opportunities for the people to access medical-care, added that his administration will continue to support and partner with the Federal Medical Center and every other Medical Institution towards providing efficient and effective medi-care for the people.
